Guyana pulled off a spectacular win by capturing the Boys Team Champion Trophy, the Girls’ Team Champion Trophy, and the overall combined Team Championship of the tournament!

Into the Team Finals!
The Digicel Jr. Caribbean Squash Championships 2011, moved into its final phase when the semifinals of the team championships were completed. Guyana’s girls dispatched Trinidad & Tobago 5-0 and will be going for their 6th consecutive girls team title when they take on Jamaica at 10:00am. Jamaica had earlier defeated Cayman Islands 4-1.
In the boys semis the Guyana team picked up where the girls left off and took out Jamaica 5-0 and will oppose Trinidad & Tobago in Thursday’s Final at 3:00pm. Trinidad & Tobago squeezed past Bermuda to set up the final between the top two boys seeds.
The presentation ceremony will follow immediately after the final match of the day.
Welcome to the Tournament!
From July 8th to 14th 2011, the only sport in Guyana will be squash, with teams from eight countries competing in the Digicel-sponsored Junior CASA Squash Championships, hosted by the Guyana Squash Association.
It is expected that this year’s championships will be better than ever, with all players showing both competitive spirit and camaraderie!
